Bruce, the name of just an average teenager. He was 16, starting to have his eyes open to the world. For him, it was a sad and cruel place. All the war, poverty, cruelty of humans and how they treated other humans. He felt like whatever he did was meaningless, not able to make a difference in the world. He was utterly lost, for a long time. He remembered how he felt when he was younger, they way how people seemed so happy around him, it was a childhood ignorance. Childhood ignorance was what many had, if not all have had.
He wondered how to fill the void in his heart, an empty hole in him which only filled with sorrow and regret. He was average as a student, he had never dated, and had a family who never supported his actions. His family was always just trying to show him how to work, and get an honest job to make money for his eventual family. He wanted to not do that though, he wanted to become one to film movies, not do some simple job. He really just wanted to write a script for a movie, come up with an original idea to impress many. This was his dream, a dream to become remembered, a dream to be known and make others happy.
He wrote whenever he could, happy at the times he did write. He did still feel empty inside though, feeling as if he was nothing still. He felt as if he was missing something, or someone to be exact. He was in love with a girl, a girl he was friends with. This girl's name was Caitlyn. He loved her, they were not too close, but they hung out a few times. It was approaching the end of the school year now, and he felt he needed to ask her now. So he prepared a few days before, preparing himself to go and ask her out. Then the worst news he could ever hear was told to him. He was moving away, far away from their area. He truly felt dead, nothing could make him happy. He was gone emotionally, he stayed far away from others, pushing them away.
When he wrote, he felt lonely, not wanting to even write anymore. He spent his days on his bed, watching tv or videos on his phone. He then just found something while randomly searching online one day. He found something called Role Playing. It was a small online forum, and he decided to create a character for it. He was surprised when he got accepted, he didn't feel like he created anything good enough to be accepted. He then join a new RP in the forum, and quickly grew to liking it. It made him happy to be in a sort of interactive story.
He did this for months, it made him feel like he had a purpose again. He was happy with it, and wrote once more. He didn't care if he missed his chance at love now, there will always be the future, which is the thing he is always looking forward to now. He did still have some years of high school left, and maybe he can do something great still. Only time and determination can tell at this point. He just knew, he wasn't the lonely man he first thought he was now.
